The birther wars continue. Orly Taitz, birther queen of California, personally filed a complaint in New Hampshire on Saturday that challenged President Obama’s U.S. citizenship and argued for his removal from the state’s ballot, reports the Concord Monitor.
New Hampshire’s electoral governing body, the Ballot Law Commission, turned down the complaint in a public hearing via 5-0 vote. It got pretty ugly shortly thereafter. The reporter on the scene commented on the noise to follow in the Concord Monitor.
The action came after the decision was made by the state's Ballot Law Commission to keep President Obama on the presidential ballot. Sitting across the room from most of the people, I grabbed my cameras and changed locations in anticipation of a reaction. I overheard some people earlier suggesting they should yell "Treason" or "Traitors" following the decision. People were heated. And sure enough, like many events I cover, people yelled "Treason." And "Traitors."
The Ballot Law Commission more-or-less allowed representatives and opponents time to vent frustrations. One representative mentioned committee members should wear a mask when appearing in his district before he stormed out into the hallway. He was met by supporters.Perhaps Mr. Obama needs to have more of his Made in the USA mugs manufactured. It is a good counter to Ms. Taitz continued efforts at playing the buffoon.
